Office Party Games

Use short, optional activities that welcome new colleagues and do not require private disclosures or physical performance.

Choose a game that fits your group

Team conversation

Use helpful habits, favorite breaks or imaginary choices. Give everyone the option to listen without answering.

Small-group common ground

Mix groups of three or four and find two non-work preferences. Avoid ranking coworkers or discussing performance.

Cooperative paper tower

Give each team equal paper and tape. Agree the time limit and a stable-standing test; provide a seated role.

A practical running order

  1. 5 min: explain optional participation.
  2. 10 min: team conversation in pairs.
  3. 15 min: cooperative tower or seated common ground.

Preparation and adaptations

Avoid drinking requirements, salary questions and manager-led personal disclosures. For large groups, use several small tables rather than a long compulsory speaking circle.

Open each linked material page before the event and check its rules, group size and supplies. Print one test copy on the paper you will use. For a large gathering, give each small table its own rules and materials. Preview long text before printing, and keep a spare pen and a spare copy for the host.

Free printable materials and PDFs

The linked games and materials are free to use. Links open working makers or printable game pages, not a separate themed download bundle. Add your own seasonal wording where the maker supports editing. Choose Print and then Save as PDF in your browser; no account is needed. Some guides use fixed sheets, and the host must supply any personal facts or checked quiz answers.
