Vocabulary bingo

The teacher supplies at least 24 distinct reviewed terms. Call a definition and let pupils mark its matching term. Check the answer list before class.

Category practice

Choose a topic already taught. Allow pairs, an oral answer or fewer letters when the full alphabet is too demanding.

Listening and description

Use simple shapes and take turns describing position and size. Compare descriptions, not artistic ability.

A practical running order

  1. 3 min: model one example.
  2. 12 min: pairs complete one short round.
  3. 5 min: compare strategies and collect materials.

Preparation and adaptations

The templates are not curriculum-aligned assessments. Review vocabulary, answers and age suitability; do not put student personal data into prompts.

Open each linked material page before the event and check its rules, group size and supplies. Print one test copy on the paper you will use. For a large gathering, give each small table its own rules and materials. Preview long text before printing, and keep a spare pen and a spare copy for the host.

Free printable materials and PDFs

The linked games and materials are free to use. Links open working makers or printable game pages, not a separate themed download bundle. Add your own seasonal wording where the maker supports editing. Choose Print and then Save as PDF in your browser; no account is needed. Some guides use fixed sheets, and the host must supply any personal facts or checked quiz answers.
