Kindergarten · about 4–6 classroom printable kit
Actual activity sheets with adult instructions and separate teacher keys. Preview and print A4 or US Letter.
Player sheets and keys are separate pages. Print the required page ranges after previewing; do not give a hidden model or key to a receiver. Hand-drawn alternatives are listed on the age activity cards.
Printable materials
Preview at 100% scale, with browser headers and footers off. Cut with suitable help. Keep host keys separate. This is a manual tabletop kit, not an online opponent, automatic judge or solver.
Teacher instructions · Early years · 4–6 suggestion
Adult-led activity suggestions, not a tested or accredited curriculum. Preview one copy. Print player sheets per group; keep keys with adults. Use large paper pieces, not small loose counters.
Slow mirror pairs
2 per pair · 5–8 minutes. Face a partner at a comfortable distance. Demonstrate small hand movements without touching. Leader makes three slow movements; the partner mirrors. Pause if either person cannot follow. Swap roles after one minute. End after both lead twice; do not score imitation accuracy.
Quiet rhythm echo
4–6 per circle · 5–8 minutes. Show a quiet stop signal. Adult models two beats at a comfortable volume. The group repeats once together, then one volunteer chooses the next two-beat pattern. Use four patterns, then finish with the stop signal; offer a pass rather than elimination.
Three-shape change
4–5 per table · 6–10 minutes. Put circle, square and triangle in a row. Name or point to each together. Cover the row with paper, swap two cards, then uncover. Children may point or describe one change. Reveal and restore the starting row after each try. Stop after three changes, with no individual memory score.
Walk-and-point shape hunt
2 per pair, adult-led station · 8–12 minutes. Adult places three visible shapes on reachable tables, checks the walking route and keeps cards in place. Read one clue and let a pair walk together, point to the matching shape, then return. No racing or collecting cards. Give each pair three clues. Stop when all three are matched; adult records only group completion.
Printed labels identify player sheets and teacher keys; print only the relevant page ranges for each group. Activities may be completed seated, with an adult reading or moving pieces.
Player shape cards · two three-card sets
Cut with adult help. One three-card set per group for change play, or per station for the hunt. Three copies supply six groups.
Adult clue cards · read aloud
One clue at a time. Pair walks and points; cards stay in place. Seated version: point on the tabletop.
Find the shape with a round edge.
Find four equal sides and four corners.
Find three straight sides.
Teacher key and station setup · keep separate
Shape change: begin circle, square, triangle. Swap first two under a cover: square, circle, triangle. Restore the original row before the next trial.
| Clue | Answer | Suggested visible position |
|---|---|---|
| Round edge | Circle | Reachable desk left |
| Four equal sides | Square | Reachable desk center |
| Three straight sides | Triangle | Reachable desk right |
Set the cards before pupils arrive; avoid stairs, appliances and routes crossing another group. This is matching, not a race. For 30 children, rotate a few pairs at a time with an adult at the station.
