Set up and play

  1. Pair guests and sit back to back, or use a screen between them.
  2. Give the describer a shape card and the drawer a blank sheet. Keep other shape cards out of the drawer’s view.
  3. Allow two minutes to describe the lines, sizes and positions. Start with questions allowed.
  4. Compare the drawing and card without ranking artistic skill. Discuss which directions helped.
  5. Swap roles with a new card. Optionally try a round with only yes-or-no questions.

Finish the game

Finish after both partners have described and drawn. There is no required score; the goal is a useful, surprising comparison.
